"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matt 28:19-20

Mission St George (27th - 31st July 2009)

Your community needs you!!

Mission St George Promotional ImageThe first week of the school holidays is a busy and exciting time in and around the St George Park area, as this year Crofts End Church has put together a local mission plan that involves input from not only those people who belong to the church but the whole community!

St George Park is a beautiful facility in our area and we want to enhance that by facilitating a number of projects in the Park area during the week beginning 27th July.  Our planned projects are:-

  • Weekday mornings (9am - 1pm)
2 practical projects will run to to enhance the look of the park by:
    - Repairing and re-painting all 55 benches located in the park.  This will require teams of people to be involved to complete the task within the 5-day period
    - Renovate the park shelter which is currently in a state of disrepair.

  • Weekday afternoons (3:00 - 4:30 p.m.)
'Xpedition Force' Kid's Holiday Club - lots of fun and laughter for children aged 7 - 11 years including visits from Roly the Clown and the Signpost Puppet Theatre.
Numbers are limited so to guarantee your child's place please click here to pre-register

Would YOU be willing to sand-down or paint a bench or help with the shelter?  We need teams of people who can get stuck in and make St George Park a great place to spend time during this summer and the summers to come. So whether you have just a couple of hours or the whole week to spare - you can make a differenceWhy not contact us to volunteer?

As a reward, all volunteers will receive a special invitation to a FREE community party to be held on Friday 31st July at a local venue.  This promises to be a great time for the whole family with live music from Bristol-based soul, funk and disco band  'The Cosy Jacks', a Disco and BBQ food.  The kids will also have great fun on the bouncy castle or having their faces painted by our very own artists.
